Health Promotion

Sustainable Health Promotion builds on the health promotion approach and aims to influence how societies live, work and play in a manner that enhances wellbeing and also protects the environment. It includes the day to day lifestyle of communities, in particular those relating to health, such as their diet, transport and occupational health. For example active transport (e.g. walking, riding, public transport) has the cobenefits of reducing the risk of obesity and also reducing the carbon footprint. This subtheme has significant overlap with the MSSI People and Values theme.
